Bottle from Shoprite, Blantyre. Dark brown body with no head or lacing. Aroma of treacle and caramel. Flavour of sugar water and roasted malt. Thin body with a watery texture. Soft fizz. The flavour is very weak for a Stout.

Doesn’t smell nearly strong enough to be a stout, some scent of barley and hops but not much. But yup, looks like a stout for sure and has a nice head to boot. Sticks around for awhile, which is all I personally want. Not a strong flavour for a stout, in fact a very weak flavour. Kind of syrupy, sort of like molasses. Seems to be a weaker excuse for a stout but I guess it’s pretty good if you’re just measuring it by Malawi stout standards - as the only one available!
