(Keg at Angleterre, 20161022) The beer poured very dark brown and clear. Its head was medium sized and nearly white. Aroma had dark chocolate, creaminess and coffee. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were dark chocolate, creamy coffee, sweetness, ash, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste had coffee, burntness and bitterness. A tasty roasty brew with strong coffee notes.

Cask. Gravity dispense. 42nd Steel City Beer Festival. Murky, cola brown. Bubbly, tan head. Nose has robust, earthy coffee grinds. Milk chocolate. Scorched wood. Died vine fruit. Taste is chocolatey, verging on lactic sweet. Bit of a light sour twang. Decent mouthfeel. Robust, coffee bitterness on the finish.

Draught @ Thornbridge Pub, Den Bosch. Nice Opaque dark brown to black color, medium to full sized super creamy beige head that lasts forever and leaves superb lacing. Aroma is malts, coffee, dark malts and soft roast. Taste malts, coffee, lightly espresso, dark malts, soft roast, coffee roast, malt bitter, dark chocolate, bitter. Oily texture, medium body, medium carbonation. Delicious beer!

From tap. Pours hazy brown with a small tan head. Aroma is herbal, coffee and dark malty. Herbal, toasted malty and slight coffee malty. Dry, toasted and chocolate and coffee like finish.

Draught. Creamy off-white good mostly lasting head. Black colour. Heavy malty and moderate hoppy aroma. Heavy bitter very roasted flavor. Long roasted heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate. Nice.
