The key to this IPA is the EXTRAORDINARY sweet grapefruit character of experimental hop HBC692, which dominates at all stages of the brew, from whirlpool through two dry-hop additions.

Over the years a number of things have inspired our beer names, but occasionally we recognise friends on our craft beer scene. SPLITS celebrates a grand character on the Mediterranean craft beer scene, Xavi Serra. You should meet him, if you haven’t already. Always poised to provide help or good humour, he is also very flexible.

We were blown away by the aroma of this ho, HBC692, from the bag and the hop rub, all the way to the finished beer!

Optisch mit feinem Perlenstrang richtig hübsch, in der Nase Osaft. Im Trunk verhältnismäßig trocken, erst erdig dann saftig, schönes Ding.

Can shared. Nice clear golden color with a slight orange whim, average sized white head. Aroma of freshly cut oranges, peach, mango and grapefruit. Very pleasant. Flavor is malts, mango nites, peachy notes like a tin can of "cocktail mix conserved fruits (? Whaha, no idea what this is called in English)", lightly bitter in the distance. Quite nice, well done.

Can 440ml. @ home in the conservatory.

ABV: 6.4%. Clear medium amber orange colour with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, light caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, grapefruit, dried fruit, light pine. Flavor is moderate sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, pine, citrus, grapefruit, pale malt, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft.
