Hazy red with a light pink head. Aroma of big strawberry with softer but very present cherry notes, light barnyard funk and woody notes. Flavour is moderate sweet and above moderate sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

75CL Split 7 ways at cellar temperature. A bright reddish orange, 5 finger thick head, faded to a thin line. The aroma is insane. I”be had a few strawberry lambic beers. This smells out of this world. It Just smells amazing. The cherry flavor comes in when you’re taking that first sip. Then fades into a long lingering cherry flavor.

0,75l from bottle at the brewery. Reddish murky color, snark white head. Smells of intense strawberries, light cherries, marzipan, lightly funky, bit citric. Very nice smell. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes citric, cherries, some strawberries, marzipan, almonds, bit lactic. Finishes dry and lightly sour with notes of cherries, strawberries and some funky notes. Very nice one, very smooth to drink 8, 4, 8, 4, 17

Strawberry and cherry lambic in the continued Spelingen van het Lot series, with mousy, 'dirty' pale pinkish, opening head and cloudy, deep vermillion red robe with an amberish glow to it, indeed a mixture of cherry lambic and strawberry lambic also from a mere visual point of view. Lots of sweet strawberry in the nose (with the actual fruit being very recognizable), sour cherry less intensely so, moldy lemon peel, yoghurt, damp cellar, grass silage, drying nettles, hay. Acidic onset, lemony with the sour cherries providing lots of fruity acidity, while the strawberries - as they indeed tend to do - provide less actual flavour but lots of retronasal aroma, already noticeable from the first sip; carbonation is quite lively, sharpish even, while the slick, bready wheat base keeps being drowned in cherry acidity, strawberry aroma and tart, lactic lambic sourness, including a hay-like Brett aspect. Tannic, bit astringent, 'dusty' finish with still considerable fruit fleshiness, supple and vibrant. Intense fruit lambic, the strawberry here is clear enough but more so in the nose than in the mouth, while the - proportionally - 'thinned' sour cherry leaves more room for the lambic's own character than most of the other fruit 'Spelingen'. Complex and interesting, a powerful kickstart to a tasting that would encompass nearly all the new Spelingen.
