American Lager? More of a malt backbone with some nice citrusy and fruit notes than our Euro grandparents. Our take on a classic NW Lager that has a light, crisp and citrusy profile. The Hawk Creek Cafe in Neskowin, Oregon was the setting where two brothers, Jon & Joe Sliger had one of the most extensive craft beer lists in the early 90’s right as the craft revolution was taking off, the Hawk Creek Cafe. Many soon to be influential brewmasters came by for a pizza and often were found drinking one of these. Many great stories came out of these lagers and we hope ours inspires the same in you!
Neskowin in the now lost native language meant "many fish" which is fitting due to the location. Maybe after a few of these you can tell your own "fish tale" or maybe even make up a few more!

Smell of malt. Golden colour, white head. Aroma of malt, a faint of grain. Light body. Lightly bitter. Lively carbon. Good one.

Can from brewery. Golden. Light citrussy, bland malty, sort of wheaty nose. Med light bodied, bit thin flavoured, some citrus, light papery pale malt. Kind of bland and tasteless, probably according to style. Clean well made tho.

(Can, 0.44 l - canned on 10.01.2020 - BB 10.09.2020, from a supermarket, 20200207) The beer poured golden and lightly hazy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fruitiness and ripe tangerine. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were fruitiness, tangerine, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was hoppy and bitter. A decent fruity brew with too fizzy palate.

Tap @ Rotterdam, Helsinki. Poured clear golden color with a thick white head. Grassy, malty aroma, some sweetness and hint of apple. Otherwise a good drinkable lager, despite of the light off notes.
