ein helles, naturtrübes Zwickelbier, das vor dem Abfüllen mit Jungbier verfeinert wird. Der Braumeister spricht hier in der Fachsprache vom „Aufkräusen“. Das Ergebnis ist ein süffiges und erfrischendes Bier. Ganz nach gewohnter Weiherer Art.

0.5 l bottle from 'Bierothek', best before March 2021. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, frothy, almost stable, white head. Slightly sweetish, gently grassy-spicy and slightly fruity-floral aroma of lemon peel, fresh grass and only hints of grains. Slightly sweet, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy and slightly fruity-floral taste of grains, fresh grass and lemon peel, followed by a short, moderately bitter, quite grassy-spicy and a bit grainy finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, average carbonation. Nicely aromatic, crisp and hoppy but classic Lager, very pleasant and refreshing.

0,5 l bottle from our local Hol´ Ab! market. Hazy pale golden in the glass, two finger foamy white head. Grassy smell, some mash, dry grain. Taste starts grainy, little bit fresh grass, birch wood. Hints of citrus and apple. Nice.

ABV: 4.9%. Light light cloudy light to medium yellow colour with a large, frothy to creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, fruity malt, light grain, light to moderate hoppy, grass, light citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and light moderate bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, sweet malt, grass, floral - herbal, light silage, medium dry. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20200801]

Bottle. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is mildly barnyardy, cereals, yeasts and some grass - the hoppiness is rather restrained though. Taste is cereals, fresh young beer without the odd stuff, mild grass again - again, with a restrained hoppiness. Velvety mouthfeel with natural carbonation. Overall as refreshing as can be without having a pronounced hoppiness - a true Zwickel in that sense. Good one for what it is!
