Bottle at home. An interesting flavour of rye to this light and drinkable ale that was surprisingly tasty.

500ml bottle. Clear, golden beer with a large white head. Sweet, herby aroma, flavour is similar with a dry finish and a hint of spice. Not bad

Bottle from Tesco and drunk at home. Amber slight haze lasting white head. Some rye on the aroma. It’s an odd beer. Some spicyness. The aroma isn’t great. Some malt, a little hop on the end that doesn’t have huge character. Yes some spicy rye but that’s about it. A bit boring. Ok but apart from the rye there isn’t much to this beer.

Pours hazy deep gold into a shaker. White head with good retention recedes leaving spider lacing to coat surface. Sourdough and pepper aromas. Dry with sourdough and pumpernickel upfront turning to an abrupt malt finish.

Pour is a murky brown with a small white head. Aroma is a pretty decent rye but no hops show up. Flavor is again a pretty decent rye with all the spiciness you would expect but there is not much after that. This was not a great beer but it was better than expected. You do get a nice dose of the rye malt here.
