Cask handpull Westgate jdw Canterbury. Clear brown lasting beige head. It’s an ok malty bitter. Some spiciness on the finish. Ok condition. Decent malts. It’s a brown bitter.

13th March 2015: third of a pint (cask) in my local Wetherspoons. Looked fine, a clear chestnut body with some impressive lacing. Sadly the looks were the high point, I thought it bland and uninteresting. The worst of the six beers I tasted during a midday session to celebrate the first day of this years Wetherspoons Festival. Just a bog standard blend of ’not much’ really.

Cask at the Square Peg; clear copper pour with a big creamy beige head, robust malt aroma, taste has a hint of pine, caramel malty action, some dark fruits, ok.
