Pours black, small tinged head with minimal retention. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, grassy, a slight citrus. Taste is a little sweet with chocolate malts then a hoppy fruitiness kicks in, then a more lager grainy note with a decent kick of bitterness. The body is light but not watery and the carbonation is moderate. It somehow manages to touch on styles like stout, IPA and lager at the same time which could have been a disaster but this is very interesting and tasty session beer indeed. Lovely.

500 ml bottle, as Sadler's Peaky Blinder Black IPA, from Det Gode Brygg, Kvadrat, Sandnes. ABV is 4.4%. Very dark brown colour, nearly black. Large to moderate off-white to beige head. Roasty aroma, notes of coffee and dark chocolate, also hints of piney hops. Roasty flavour too, medium dry, notes of coffee, distinct piney hops.

50 cl. bottle shared with Suus @ Alex and Suus. Black with a thin of-white head. Roasted malts aroma with faint hops. Roast bitter taste with a bitter finish. Nice enough beer but nowhere near a black IPA. Just a slight more hopped stout, which is still nice of course.
