Jeff Bagby has travelled to Everards Brewery (Leicestershire) to re-create this deep golden beer especially for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival. The malt and hop aromas lead to a balance of nutty, biscuit malt notes and a firm bitterness, resulting in a pleasing, crisp, clean character.

Cask at the Booking Office. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of light sweet malt and biscuits, not getting any cascade influence. Hopping must’ve been light. Taste is toffee, faintest tickle of orange. Thin finish.

Cask at Moon Under. It pours clear golden with a medium white head. The aroma is pretty tame... grainy, nutty, earth and rivita. The taste is dry, bitter - sweet, toasty grain, biscuit, floral, spice, nutty and a hint of citrus peel. Finish is dry and biscuity. Light - medium body and fine carbonation. Run-of-the-mill golden bitter.
