This is a blonde ale, brewed with East Anglian Pale Ale malt and English hedgerow hops. Light and crisp with a lovely biscuit backbone, perfect for the summer. A distinctively different summer bitter delicious served cool. Perfect accompaniment to white fish, prawn & curry dishes. A delicate palate with hints of lemon. Brewed to celebrate all that’s great about the British Summertime!

(Cask at Dartmouth Arms, Dartmouth Park, London, 6 Aug 2007) Golden amber colour with brief head. Fruity nose with notes of mandarin, lemon, citrussy hops and something slightly sourish. Fruity taste with mandarin, apricots, hints of sulphur, grassy and citrussy hops in the finish. Slightly too sweet for me. Drinkable, but no favourite.

Cask, gravity at The Rock of Gibraltar Beer Festival, Enslow, Oxon, 01-09-07 Golden with some haze, served a bit too warm in my opinion, beers were served inside the pub on racks with no effort to keep cool. malt on the aroma and some honey. Tasted fine if bit warm and sweeter than anticipated, some fruit. A friend was convinced that this had aroma of baked beans?? Only ok I’m afraid.

Half pint on cask. Amber coloured with no head. Light fruity in aroma and taste. Short bitter end. Rather shallow impression (Lord Nelson, Ipswich 22.09.2006).

(On tap) Clear, pilsener golden with a very small head. Lovely fresh, citrusy notes - perhaps even with a vague hint of coriander? Very light body with some hops in the short, dry palate. Lovely, quenching summer beer - especially if you can find this cold.... 210505
