Pours deep orange/amber with silky/creamy head. Head stays with the drink and coats the glass. Taste of toffee with some bitterness. Some of the oak barrel comes through in the flavor. Different from the usual English bitter....

Bottle courtesy of Tesco. Dark copper pour with a thin white frothy head. A malty aroma and a lovely malty smooth flavour with a hint of bitterness which lingers for a while on the palate. A big step up from Speckled Hen and a beer that is loved by everyone that tastes it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

500 ml bottle. Bright copper colored liquid topped by an thick rocky beige head. Lovely toasted biscuit malt nose reminiscent of toffee and malt vinegar. Sweet butterscotch malt flavor with a silky mouthfeel upfront. Midtaste has dried fruit and vanilla notes. Finishes with a bittersweet herbal hoppiness.
