DESCRIPTION
This is Hepcat. A Session IPA. Our mainstay and our original. It’s everything the style should be – fruity nose, juicy body, bright taste. Can we humbly call it a classic?
Goes well with dancefloors and smooth moves.
This is Marcus. He’s our designer, illustrator and friend. He likes expensive jackets and colouring in.

Keg @ Jugged Hare, Victoria, London. Hazy golden-blonde with a small creamy head. Has a heavy textured tropical fruitiness with citrus providing light lemon and grapefruit notes.

Keg at the Butchers Hook & Cleaver. Great looking in the glass and a real punch in the mouth from the hops to wake up a jaded palate. The hops were zingy and there was a definite pleasant piney oiliness to the beer. My only criticism was that it was, to me, overly carbonated and left me feeling gassy. I wouldn’t have had a second.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Hazy, pale amber colour. Thin, dense, lasting, sticky, off white head. Nose has pine. Orange marmalade. Citrus rind. Candied peel. Touch of peppery spice. Taste has a light, citrus sweetness, turning, sappy, spicy bitter. Soft and smooth mouthfeel. Low, foamy carbonation. Lingering, sappy bitter finish. Bags of flavour at the ABV.

Keg at The 25th White Horse beer festival, Hedgerley, Bucks. A hazy golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Aroma of peach, mango and tropical fruit. Tastes similar, peach, mango, tropical fruit, pretty sweet but a decent enough SIPA from Sarf Lundun.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. An amber pour with a thick cream coloured head; juciy tropical fruit aroma with a touch of pine; clean and crisp in the mouth with more fruit and a sharp bitterness, but also traces of soap that spoil the overall effect. Otherwise, a pleasant modern-style Session IPA.
