Bottle from Two Brews, Colchester. Pours very dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, roasted malt, light liquorice, coffee, lactose and dried fruit with maybe just a hint of cranberry referenced on the label. Medium sweetness, medium to heavy roasted bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Enjoyable.

Cask-conditioned at the Gryphon, Bristol 6/4/2017. Dark brown in colour, with a thin, off-white, head. An easy drinking porter, with some chocolate character, leafy hops, slightly toasty malts and gentle finish. Solid drinking.

[ As Elephant School Porter In A Storm ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, dark malt, roasted. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, dark malt, roasted, ash - sood. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161129] 6-4-6-3-12

Gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Coal black body. Low, bubbly tan head. Smell of dark dough and cocoa. Spiced mid-sweet malty flavours, Hints of toffee and cocoa. Rounded malty ending. Pretty alright (16.02.2017).
