Sampled @ ChrisO Pre-GBBF Shindig. Clear orange golden color, average sized white to off-white head. Aroma is very floral, a hint of herbs or spices. Don’t know which though. Taste malts, sweetish, clearly barrel aged but I don’t really like it. A bit weird. Average to medium body and carbonation. Meh.

11th July 2016
Level 42 botteshare. Thanks to Matteo. Almost clear amber beer, tidy bubbly pale tan head. Palate is smooth with modest fine carbonation. Soft malts, mildly sweet, a little malt cream. Trace of barrel induced vanilla. Modest bourbon - fruity. A touch of floralness. Light finish. Nice beer, because it’s not that sour!

12th July 2016: Bomber from Paolo at the monthly Shrewsbury Bottle Share meeting. Poured with a slight haze: terracotta body colour, wispy, weak head on top. I liked the aroma and taste, not as sour as I was anticipating at all, this was a bourbon flavoured, spicy number with the barrel aging completely (almost) masking whatever the original sour beer was on entering the aging process.

Bottle shared in London a many thanks to Matteo. Pours mostly clear gold with a frothy, white head. Strong woody nose, orange peel, toasted grains. Light sweet flavour with toasted toffee, bitter and lightly tangy wood, faint earth, more citrus peel. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with light tang, more woody tannin, faint toffee, some leathery berries. Interesting stuff.
