Fra fat på bryggeripuben 29 Apr 17. Svart. Mokkafarget. Filmskum. Søt & god plommearoma. Smaken nøtter, plommer & svisker. Tørr sherryavslutning. God - men vel søt.

Draught, 1/3 pint, at Moor Brewery Tap. Deep black body, covering fawn-coloured head, fair lacing. Aroma of prunes and dark berries, noticeable alcohol. Sweet, blended taste of berries, raisin and prunes. Malt-dark fruity end. Sweet slow sipper qualities (East Bristol Brewery Trail 29.04.2017).

Draught at BeerGeek Bar. Dark brown to black colored. AROMA- brandy, sour cherries, dark fruit, chocolate, pralines. FLAVOR- neutral, moderately bitter, warming alcohol presence, chocolate, pralines, brandy, touch of fruitiness. Fuller bodied.

Kveldens siste flaske med Steven, og hvilken højdare! Nesten helt svart med fint skum som varer. Vidunderlig, portvinsvinøs aroma og smak med mørke malter, rosiner, svisker, vanilje, kaffe, dessertsjokolade, lakris, hint av cigar(?), og alt dette i en lekker kombinasjon og trygg maltkropp, støttet av fatlagringen (Somerset cider brandy barrels). Lav bitterhet og farlig lett å helle innenfor snippen. Oh, it is good, isn’t it!

Bouteille:Literally black, small but persistent tanned head; complex sweet-bitter nose of sweet dried berries, toasted malt and caramel, combined with traces of ashes, cacao or coffee and vanilla; solid sweet-bitter flavour, silky MF, full bodied as expected; lingering solid sweet-bitter finish, repeating aromas of berries, cacao and toasted malt. California dreamin’! A nice summer-drink...

Bottle shared with Erwin Van Moll and Untappd-Timo "who knows Koen" @ Van Moll Brewpub. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized quite quickly diminishing light brown head. Smell and taste malts, clove, cinnamon lightly, some dark malts, light roast, a tad sweetish. Meh.

Sample @Olutexpo 2016. Poured near black with a thin brown head. Plummy, nectary, ripe fruity aroma. Full bodied, ripe fruits, some wine barrel notes, plummy notes. Long warming finish. Pretty amazing.

Sample from the bottle at Olutexpo 2016, Helsinki. Colour is clear dark brown with small white head. Aromas and flavors: Chocolate, vineous elements, berries and some malts.
