Bouteille, de et partagée avec Pierre. BB 31.12.2018.

Keg at the Bottle Shop Druid Street - London. Pours clear, rich brown with a bubbly, tan head. Dynamic aroma, with note of fruitcake, overripe apples, faint plum, brown sugar, toast, dates, berries, tangy wood. Medium sweet flavor with toasted sugars, biscuit, light creamy toffee, ripe berries, dates, figs, more plum. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation. Lightly oily. Somewhat warming in the finish, with more ripe and dried fruits, plum, berries, gooey toffee. Good stuff overall. Nice depth.

Draft tasting glass during Moor Tap Takeover @ Gollem. Black, solid creamy mocha head. Odd nose, light vanilla, spirit, apple brandy, raisin, maple syrup, candy, pear & apple syrup. Taste is big odd cooked apple, light raw alcohol, pear syrup, sugar, candy, appel brandy, messy, interesting high cooked apples, raw spirit, raisin, plum,.. Less syrupy body than the taste suggests. Mess, big harsh but plenty of interesting raisin, plum, cooked apple notes.
