Award winning new recipe. A light golden colour with a high proportion of wheat and corn giving it a clean fresh taste on top of which there is masses of hop, fruit and citrus flavours with elderflower on the nose.

Sampled @ GBBF day 2. Clear orange golden color, small white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly hayish, a slight touch of hops and some malty bitterness. Average body and carbonation. Ok beer.

Cask - Sweet grains, apple and some odd fruity esters. Clear gold with no head. Grainy and earthy hips with a dry finish.

Bottle. An almost clear one, golden beer topped by a finger-thick white head. There’s some pale malts in the aroma, with cheesy hints. Mostly fruity. The flavor has some bitterness to deal with the pale malts. Rather fruity, with a cheesy hint. Medium to full body with soft carbonation, semi-dry. Some bitterness in the finish too. Lasting fruity finish with a good bitterness. A decent one, but nothing special going on. 140726

Pale golden beer with a bubbly head and an aroma of citrus and something I can’t quite place which I assume must be the elderflower. The flavour light and zesty with, again, what I assume to be elderflower. I’ve not had elderflower in any other form before and I suspect I’m not a fan. It’s a perfectly palatable beer and I’d certainly try the cask if I saw it but it’s not really to my taste.

From cask at Mosset Tavern, Forres. Golden, white head. Fine and persistent lacing. Subdued aroma of orange marmelade. Refreshing taste of marmelade, balanced with moderate bitterness. OK, but not very exciting.

Duft av humle og eik. Lys gyllen farge. Tynt hvit skum på topp. Frisk og lettdrukket, noe svak søtlig ettersmak. Greit drikke øl i sommervarmen.

Flaske 0,5l fra Kjeller 5. Batch L3176. Tørsteslukker i Skibotn 21 Des 13. Lys gyldenbrun. Svakt gulskjær. Litt uklar. Høyt luftig skum med litt lacing. God sitrusaroma. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken er grapefrukt. Frisk. Avslutter litt tørt & syrlig. --- Beer merged from original tick of Trade Winds (Cask) on 15 Oct 2006 at 10:15 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 8 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 8. God Ordinary bitter, som riktignok kan oppfattes som tynn og litt pregløs når man ikke kjenner den og er vandt til mikrobryggeriøl
