Award winning new recipe. A light golden colour with a high proportion of wheat and corn giving it a clean fresh taste on top of which there is masses of hop, fruit and citrus flavours with elderflower on the nose.

Medium offwhite head. Clear golden body with carbonation. Floral earthy aroma with elderberry notes. Dry citric floral taste with strawy herbal notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, fizzy mouthfeel. Dry herbal wheaty aftertaste with dusty mealy elderberry notes. Nice, if perhaps a little bit too bitter. The elderberry is fairly subtle, don’t think I’d have picked it up, if it didn’t say on the bottle. (0.5l bottle, Meny Strømmen Storsenter.)

0.5l bottle. This is a crystal clear golden one with a small quickly islandy and sidesticking bubbly white top. It smalls quite nice this. Inviting, hoppy and slightly fruity. Traces of caramel and a strong present citrus aroma. Also some faint diacetyl hints when it's heated a bit. Not bad at all actually. It's thin watery on the mouthfeel and the carbonation level is about average. In the taste it's not as fruity, but the citrus is present. Almost lime-like with a clear slightly pungent floral touch. Without having had to much of the elderflowers in my mouth before I actually recognize this flavor. Quite dry and light grassy bitter in the finish finish. Well, it is what it is, but the aroma wasn't all that bad. Probably the best I've had from these guys, 18.02.2013

Cask @ The King’s Highway JDW
Straw colour, clear, white frothy head.
Aroma - floral, bit perfumy, citrus hops, hint of spice.
Taste - flora, aromatic, light sweet malt, citrus hops, hint of tropical fruits.
Palate - soft carb, thin to medium texture. Finish a little dry, like taste but not overpowering.
Overall - A good quaffable golden ale.

Bottle. Pale gold with a white head that lasts OK. Aroma of oranges, elderflowers, light honey. Taste has a little honey and lots of citrus - orange and lemon - some spices. Pretty dry and pleasantly bitter. The pastuerisation is not much of a distraction with this one, perhaps because the carbonation and straightforward crispness suit it. Refreshing.

Cask at the Victoria station Wetherspoons. Hazy amber with a tight cream head; elderflower aroma; quite full-bodied with grainy flavour and some citrus; then a slightly cloying sour grain finish. Not very exciting.

Cask at The Old Thameside Inn near London Bridge. Pours hazy gold with a foamy/frothy/creamy white head. Light fruit and citrus aromas. Refreshing. Mostly citrus flavor over mild malt. Finishes nicely bitter.
