Boasting 10 different grain varieties, this Imperial Stout is full of rich roasted coffee and chocolate flavours, a generous helping of oats for a smooth mouth feel and a balanced finish. A small amount of vanilla pods have also been added at the end of fermentation to give the beer a subtle and nuanced velvet like quality.

Bottle, 330 ml, courtesy of Max. Shared with him and JFK10000. Black with beige head. Cocoa, chocolate, bitter finish, dry, some fruity notes. Medium bodied. Very nice.

Keg at House of Hammerton, 07/09/18. Black with a well presented tan head. Nose is dark chocolate, rich roast, molasses, dark fruit rinds, ligt charr. Taste comprises rich roast malts, burnt coffee bean, toffee, cocoa sprinkle, dried fruits, black peppery spice. Medium plus body, fine carbonation, drying close with a rising balanced alcohol kiss. Decent enough impy.
