Three kilos of hops and forty kilos of barley selflessly give their lives to brew every barrel of this beer. It’s a lot to ask, but their reincarnation as this life-affirming IPA makes their sacrifice worthwhile.

A ballsy, US style IPA, expect flavours of tropical & citrus fruits, with a lingering bitterness set against a smooth malty backbone.

Can, courtesy of MiP. Pours nearly clear golden with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and fruit, with estery and hoppy notes and touches of citrus. Ditto flavour. Sweetish, fruity and estery aftertaste with hoppy and citric touches. Well-balanced and tasty. A nice one, although the carbonation could be higher.

Amber with a frothy, white head. Interesting fruit candy and spice aroma with apricot undertones. Taste is moderate bitter, finishing bittersweet with a mix of caramel and resin. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, decent chewiness. A good one.

Can from Tesco via Tian. Washed down with biltong. A really solid ale here, balancing the bitterness with great hoppage. Decent.

Draught Good, dense & fine light-yellow head over veiled but bright orange beer. Aromatic hops featuring green herbs as cilandro; orange & orangepeel, bit peppery, Szechuan pepper. Dry, again somewhat peppery flavour, orangepeel. Less hoppy appearance than the nose. Medium bodied, mild carbonation, hopoilslick. In the end, average IPA with a nice nose.
