Three kilos of hops and forty kilos of barley selflessly give their lives to brew every barrel of this beer. It’s a lot to ask, but their reincarnation as this life-affirming IPA makes their sacrifice worthwhile.

A ballsy, US style IPA, expect flavours of tropical & citrus fruits, with a lingering bitterness set against a smooth malty backbone.

Creamy white head left a froth on still dark straw coloured body. Bitter, pith & pine aroma. Medium bodied, smooth with a clean back. Pine, grapefruit, pithy & confectionery tastes with a big tangy fruity finish. Class

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a murky brown with yellow edges, head was white and frothy. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, pungent to the nose. Taste is fruity, grapefruit, orange, juicy, lingers around the palate.

Slightly cloudy light orange pour, frothy white head with strong lacing. Tropical citrus aroma, with peach and mango and pine prominent. Moderate body and carbonation with a fairly strong bitterness running through. Quite a punchy hoppy IPA but still has a decent malt base and ABV and is balanced. I think I prefer something a bit subtler but I cant deny this is an excellent beer.

Can from local ASDA. Citrus and peach in thev aroma. Pours a clear golden yerllow with a frothy white transient head. Low carbonation and a creamy, tangy texture. Flavours in the mouth of lemon, guava, mango and other tropical stuff. Leave it a while on the tongue and the alcohol kicks in as well. Has a bitter lemon finish. Not the sort of beer I would normally go for, but it’s very impressive. Not for swigging though !

330ml can on 13th April 2020. Pours slightly hazy gold with shallow white foam and full lacing. Citrus and tangy peach aroma. Rich and intense tropical fruits, citrus juice and peel in-mouth, and a tangy fruit finish. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body. Utterly exquisite.
