This ruby-coloured beer has a dry, malty character, with its oak maturing imparting flavours of coffee, vanilla and tobacco, resulting in a pleasing, mellow character.

Typical wee heavy. Lots of crystal. Too much for me but hoppy and well-made.

Bottle. Amber beer, thick white head. Toffee and malt aroma. taste is toffee, coffee, malt, a touch of vanilla and you get some of the woody-ness of the barrel-aging too. Not the most spectacular scotch ale I've ever had but I quite like it.
