Cask at the Edward Raynes (JDW), Raynes Park. Chestnut with a ring of cream head; aroma of purple fruit; dry with a grainy texture and some purple fruit; then dry and leathery to finish with some tobacco and vanilla. Rather good.

Cask handpull at Liberty Bounds JDW London. Clear deep red colour lasting bubbly head. Yes oak vanilla on this. Some light fruity malt. Wood settles down but still too oaky for me.

On cask at the Booking Office. Appearance - deep amber to brown. Thin head. Girl giving me value again. Nose - chocolate biscuits and toffee. Taste - millionaire shortbread. Palate - close to medium bodied. Creamy and sweet through the middle and end. Overall - this is good.

Half at the Crosse Keys. An appealing dark colour in the glass and an intriguing sweet flavour that was well balanced by some bitter hops. The beer was very rich and it was not something to session, but it was one of the better beers of the evening.

Cask at the Willow Walk, 13/10/17. Reddish amber with a decent light beige head that retains well. Nose is biscuit, mellow fruit rinds, grains, red lemonade. Taste comprises brown bread, dried fruits, pinch of cocoa powder, light spice, biscuit crumble. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with a light bitterness. Decent enough cask offering ... in good condition which always helps ... doesn't deliver a great deal but clean and inoffensive.
