This beer is brewed from the recipe of an old barley wine, bottles of which were found in the brewery cellars, having laid there for 31 years.
The recipe is a blend of malts from Flagon and Tipple barleys and single variety Worcester Golding hops. After maturing in oak, the beer has flavours of plums, port, malt, brandy vanilla and almonds.
Each year's Vintage will have its own special characteristics due to the hand selected malts and hops, varying slightly from season to season.

Vintage 2013. 500ml bottle with box. No fajne ale te 10 lat specjalnie nic nie wniosly. .mozna by je przechowywac jeszcze dluzej jak sugeruje info na kartoniku. Ale 10 lat to i tak sporo. Wyglad to srednia piana, wyglad ladny czerwona mglista intensywna barwa, nie brazowa, ale taka czerwona, jasna. Pachnie truskawkami, poziomka i miodem kwiatowym. W smaku barley wine ale jakies malo intensywne, delikatniejsze niz inne, co nie zmienia faktu ze jest dobre, po prostu czasami inne takie tez fajnie skonsumowac zwlaszcza do deski serow, na ktorej znalazly sie:Pecorino Chilli, Ricotta Salata-Lamercantile i francuski Chabert

2013 vintage in a 500ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Ruby chestnut with little or no head. Aroma is sweet fruity. The flavour is also sweet with dried fruit and burnt treacle. The alcohol has a big hit.
