Bottle from the Beerhive, drunk on the hottest day of the year after some lacklustre gardening as some kind of reward. Pours hazy yellow gold with a thin white head. Aromas of near-minty herbs, savoury, sweet malt, faint citrus. Taste is resinous, sweet orange, then a forced rhubarb kind of thing, stewed with white sugar, lightly astringent, but also fruity and sweet, like John Inman in Are You Being Served. Good balance of flavours, lots going on, but also slips down very easily. Texture is just on the right side of oily, fragrantly bitter on the finish.

Tap at Draught 55, copper pour small head. Nose is candy and some melon. Tastes of peach, honey dew, candied malts, caramel, some grassy tones. Sweet sugary plate would have guess DIPA but I guess abv slipped under radar.

Bouteille 66cl partagée avec Tomaz. Merci à Asheft - Alex for the trade.

Pours a mildly hazy golden-orange colour with and off-white frothy head, good retention and lots of lacing. Beautiful aromas of grapefruits, caramel malts, tangerine and decent hops. Slick smooth mouthfeel heading over to a mild dry end. Again, some grapefruit in the taste with a little more zest, and some nice caramel background. A little more on the sweeter, fruity side then grassiness. Very easy to drink the whole bottle.

650ml bottle from Hippo Beers. Pours a orange-gold amber colour with a white foam head leaving lacing and aroma of tropical fruits, mango, citrus, orange, hoppy. Taste is malt caramel, juicy fruits, mango, passionfruit, floral citrus, grapefruit & pine, resiny hop with spicy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft to medium carbonation, dry tangy bitter finish. Very drinkable IPA.

Bottle from the LCBO. Hazy medium gold with a one finger lingering off white head that leaves nice lace. Nose is big citrus, tropical fruit and pine with grapefruit being dominant over top of a light caramel and spice. Very light sweet caramel and honey are secondary to a big dose of bitterness that lasts through the finish. Mouth is medium slick with average carbonation and a lingering bitter finish. Yum.
