Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth but has decent fine carbonation. Fluffy pale malts bring a little creamy sweetness. Hops are a little odd, there is good pine and hop spice but there is also a floral aspect that is slightly perfumey - soapy. A trace of tropical fruits before a mildly bitter and smooth finish. An odd duck!

Bomber. Big nose or tropical fruit, some dankness, mango. Rich, juicy tropical fruit flavor with a full, oily palate. Good stuff.

Draft pour pint at the original tap and barrel location. Poured into their signature mason jar sleeve. I keep forgetting pints don’t exist here. Whatever they are called, the beer is awesome. Pours a light golden color with an oily fizz head. Very imperial feel to this one. Where is the line anyway? Hop heavy throughout with a bitter finish. Great amount of grapefruit but almost zero sweetness. Huge linger to this one. Good stuff.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a huge off-white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of melon, orange zest, pine needles and an off-putting hint of PVA glue. Flavour of lime, bitter hops, sweet malts and peach. Peppery finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Decent but not spectacular.

Crisp very slightly hazy amber and light copper coloured body with a nice, two centimetre tall light off-white head. Aroma of very pungent grassy, piney and citrusey hops with some light metallic notes and a bit of alcohol noticeable. Medium-bodied; Very grassy and herbal flavour up front from the hops with some decidedly pungent notes at the end with a good balance of malt. Aftertaste shows a light piney flavour with some lighter malt notes, a bit of alcohol and some fresh cut grass flavour as well. Overall, a nice PNW IPA with a bit more grass than those from the USA and much less malt, making this on par with a decent West Coast IPA in total. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Steamworks Liqour Store in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada on 08-June-2015 for CA$6,90 sampled at home in Washington on 30-August-2015.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Ory. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma of citric hops. Flavor has some sweetish malt, citric and slightly piney hops, and a moderately bitter finish. Medium-bodied.

22oz bottle from mcberko pours a hazy orange with some creamy, lacing white head. Nose has heavy pine, soap and orange, fair amount of malt sweetness too, honey comb, grapefruit too. Very classic nose. Flavor is quite well balanced for the claim of 80IBUs, honey sweetness, some malt, a bit of candy, orange, grapefruit, pine, a little herbal, some soap too. Malty, bitter, sticky finish.
