This light, pale, fruity and top-fermented beer has its origin in Burton-upon-Trent in England around 1820. Caramelized malts and abundance of American hop add to the significant taste of citrus and tropical fruits.

330 ml can, at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 4.7%. Orange colour, moderate white head. Aroma of fruity and floral hops, also notes of caramel. Light bodied. Medium dry flavour, only a hint of caramel, medium bitter hops, but not so much hop flavour besides the bitterness. Still quite refreshing and okay to drink.

0.33l bottle. Looks really nice in the glass with a tall frothy lasting off-white head, tons of lacings and a mild cloudy orange golden body. Smells lovely tropical as fruity. Pine and pineapple, sweetness from peach. It smells quite inviting and nice this, even if the bottle is not directly fresh. Tastes nice also. A little dusty perhaps, but a solid tropical fruitiness balances it nicely. It has a good oily texture in the mouth and it's just above average, growing in the carbonation. Pine and old citrus with peach sweetness and a little bit of apricot. Easy to drink and a nice little surprise this. 06.02.2016

Bottle from Finn and Rune (thank you, you two!) consumed outside in the garden Sunday 15th May 2016 Pale amber in colour with a slim white head, a touch hazy. A solid pale ale, light fruitiness middling bitterness, citrussy mostly but there is a caramel edge. It won’t blow you away but it’s a pleasant well crafted beer. A6 A4 T7 P3 Ov13 3.3

Can. A clear, golden to amber colored beer with a dense, finger-thick off-white head. The aroma is nice, but too bready and malty in my opinion. Some spent grain notes, a grassy touch and some pine cones and resins. It’s full-bodied, smooth and with a nice carbonation. Rather malt-driven flavor too, bread and grains, with a soft bitterness. Some resiny, piney and lightly citrusy hops. Long hop dominated finish with some malts in the back. A decent beer indeed, but I prefer my pale ales more hop focused. 160422
