Can from Eltham Wines, Eltham. Black pour with a beige head. Nose of dark fruits, coffee, blackberry jam, chocolate. Taste of coffee, more dark fruits, liquorice, light hit of citrus. Dry, hoppy linger in the finish. Very flavoursome brew.

Black beer, really lovely pour leaving a good thick head. Smells of malt and zesty hop. There's some citrus in the flavour but it's dialled back, with malt and a rich chocolate quality to it too. Balanced beautifully, I like this a lot.

Can from Appellation Wines Comely Bank. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn head. Nose - creamy chocolate with a green resin note. Dank. Taste - creamy chocolate again, with lime marmalade. Palate - medium bodied and creamy. Fairly dry on the finish. Overall - good.

Can from Vino Wines. Black body with a thick tan head. Good lacing. Aroma of coffee, red grape and treacle. Flavour of blueberry, plum and toasted bread. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. Well balanced with a nice tangy finish. Another great beer from this consistently brilliant brewery.
