Yellow with a trace of head, served in sampler. Bland and watery, paired decently with schnitzel but not a beer I would order again. Not a big pilsener fan in general, but this makes me wonder whether the Austrian variety is particularly uninteresting for an American craft beer drinker’s palate.

Ok, but the other naturklub was better. Tried a small taste of this at the bar down the street from Meridan Pint last week. Tap.

Bouteille 330ml.

pale yellow colour, ok head; aroma of some grass and bread; disgusting taste of some grassy hops and malts...I’m very disappointed and expected much more

On 28th Nov 13 I had a little Lager/Pilsner session: this 330ml green, rip-top bottle was my third one. Pale golden in colour it showed bright, clean and clear: the snow white head even stayed and gave some lacing on my ’La Chouffe’ tulip that I’d poured it into, very un-lager/pilsner like. Both the nose and taste were leaning towards a sweet feel and grainy. The hop content gave it a crisp texture and added a bite to the brew. I thought this was OK, a lot better than the two different Beck’s offerings I’d had before anyway.
