Nectarine Cobbler is our version of dessert in a glass. We started with yellow nectarines and peaches from Blossom Bluff Orchards, grown in high-summer along the banks of King’s River in California’s Central Valley. Four pounds of juicy stone fruit was added to each gallon of sour blonde ale and aged in oak barrels. We spiced the blend with cinnamon, ginger, coriander, and vanilla bean to recall the aroma of a freshly baked nectarine cobbler resting on the windowsill. The bottle is wrapped in a James and the Giant Peach-inspired label from the graphic design bakers at DKNG. Pair this autumn delight with mom’s baked desserts, Indian curries, and holiday gatherings.

Draft 8 oz pour at Chucks Central District. On the same day I learned of the Almanac Barrel House Brewery/Taproom opening (finally) I get to enjoy one of their gems like this. I've been following these guys since day one. It kills me that they release beers exclusive to the taprooms that I have to miss. Still keeping up though! That's gotta be worth something. My hope is that one day I will visit the taproom, and I'll be very happy. Juicy golden orange pour. Tart but fresh peaches on the aroma. I know it's nectarines.. bit in a blind, I would go with peach. Which actually makes this even better in my opinion. Such a smooth and flavorful peach and orange flavor going on. Total dessert on the flavor. Flawlessly captured. How do they do this over and over? Balanced nicely. Not too sour. Flavorful. These guys are still the best out there. I've said it on dozens of other ratings. Keep up the insanely good work.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent gold with a white smear for head. Aroma of ginger and nectarine/peach. Med body. Flavor is ginger (love ginger) and arguably nectarine and cinnamon. It's sweet/tart. There's fairly fresh oak (not musty). Quite a tasty ale.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a cloudy yellow with small white head that lasts. The aroma is strong spiced apple pie and crust. Thin body, pure sugar, stone fruit, apple pie, nice tartness, very good.

Hazy, light tan colour. This has a wealth of aromas - cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla, nectarine. Lots of fruit on the palate. Moderate sourness, and a light sweet note. Decent - maybe too spicy but ok.

375mL bottle, pours a hazy golden yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out peach and nectarine cobblers, with cinnamon and a hint of nutmeg. Flavour is along the same lines, with lots of spicy cinnamon, peaches and nectarines, with a hint of nutmeg. Very spicy on the cinnamon, with a very tart fruity finish. Nice stuff.

Sample at Modern Times Festival of Funk 2017. Hazy golden color. Nice aroma covers both nectarine and cobbler, and so does the taste. Works for me.

Taproom draft into a shot-glass showing lightly filtered hazy tanned orange with white lacing. The nose shows a lot of baking spice akin to apple pie with notes of cinnamon, sweet pie baking spices, and light vanilla. The palate is medium bodied and lightly carbonated. Lightly tart with very forward baking spices and no fruit. Drinks like a lightly tart apple pie which one would expect not to work, but the nose and flavors are harmonious and work very well together.
