We brewed this beer to celebrate 20 years of us trading at Borough. Using two varieties of English hops, one from the 90s (Pilot) and one from more recent times (Olicana) the original idea was to make an English IPA but on the brew day we decided to use a Belgian yeast to complement the spicy character of the hops. The result is a pale ale with a distinctive Belgian yeast character, complimented with notes of lemon, grapefruit, marmalade and spice from the hops.

Phelonic yeast esters which is often a trademark of this stile. Bitterness. Lemon juice. Very similar to benchmark Belgian IPA's.

Tap at The Rake. Hazy amber-orange colour, small white head. Fruits (apricot) and pepper in the nose. Medium-bodied. Fruits, spicey Belgian yeastyness, some alcohol in the flavour. Solid.
