This beer is lighter than Porters brewed today, using lighter malts not as commonly found in today's brews including 6 row barley, corn, and brown malt. We fermented this beer with lager yeast and cold conditioned (also known as lagering) this batch to let the flavors get to know each other, producing an easy drinking, clean brew.

Appearance - 10 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7.5 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7.5
Chocolate malt and hay aroma. Dark chestnut brown with moderate tan head. Moderately sweet woody chocolate malt, and moderately bitter hay/grass flavor. Good body. Solid.
