This hop monster uses Premium American 2– Row and a touch of light crystal malt to create a solid malt foundation. Five different Hop Varieties are used in the Hop Juice. Now dry hopped with Mosaic for great aroma. Starts out sweet and finishes with the crisp bitterness of a Triple IPA.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours hazy deep orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, orange zest, pineapple, citrus rind, pine, floral, grass, caramel, honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice aromas with good complexity and solid balance of citrus/pine hops and dark malt sweetness; with good strength. Taste of grapefruit, orange zest, pineapple, citrus peel, floral, grass, light pine, caramel, honey, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Fair amount of pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, pineapple, orange peel, floral, grass, caramel, honey, bread, light pine, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Good complexity of citrus/pine hops with balanced dark malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and no cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and medium-full bodied; with a smooth, fairly creamy, and lightly slick/sticky mouthfeel that is ok. Alcohol is well hidden with only a slight warming present after the finish. Overall this is a fairly solid DIPA. Well balanced citrus/pine hops and dark/bready malt flavors; and quite smooth to sip on for the big ABV. I felt this was far too malty for the style, but fairly enjoyable overall.

Right on the money! Hits all tbe marks for a DIPA, and then some. Slightly hazy body, creamy head and thick lacing. Smooth piney hops backbone.

Bottle: Hazy amber-orange with a small, off-white head. Orange malt aroma. Taste is sweet, orange, citrus, a little pine. Heavier resin notes at finish. Not bad at all, but pretty mild for a double.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a hazy dark orange with almost no head. Aroma of caramel and butterscotch with some resinous pine and citrus. Taste is light bitter and medium sweet. Caramel and butterscotch with pine and citrus. Full bodied with a thick texture. Lively carbonation and a long finish. Good, but a little off. Something just doesnt sit right. Maybe a not so fresh bottle?

Bottle from Beer Junction, West Seattle, WA, USA. A hazy orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, sweet, caramel aroma. Tastes similar, hoppy, sweet, caramel, pineapple, slightly bitter. A lovely DIPA from California, my kind of beer.

bottle from Bierkompass. Hazy golden, creamy off-white head, strong hop aroma with hints of fruity, resine, pine needles, tropical fruit. Full-bodied with quite and alcoholic flavour giving the beer a rather rough caharacter, overpowering the gorgeous hop flavours.
