This traditionally styled Porter has complex malt characteristics balanced with a mild hop profile. Scottish smoked and peated malts lend added complexity and a mild smokey flavor.

Shared from bottle at deanso’s. Clear dark brown, light tan head. Sweet chocolate malts, light vanilla, brown sugar, haagse hopjes. Very sweet. Medium body, soft and round feel, but still quite light. Nice bittersweet butterscotch finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Uniontown Porter on 23 Dec 2017 at 13:27 - Score: 7. Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Clear very dark reddish brown with beige head. Caramel, sweet nuts, brown sugar, light coffee, dried figs, light bitter herbs. Over medium sweet and medium bitter. Medium bodied with slick feel and low carbonation.

Deep brown, muddy, creamy any beige head. Aroma is roast, coffee, earth, minimal peat & smoke. Light to medium body. Dry taste of coffee, roasted malts. A bit vinous. Light bitterness. Good. Could use a more solid palate.

Very dark brown with thin wispy head. Aroma and flavour have some roasted dark malt. In the flavour there’s some sweetness but the bitterness grows and grows in the aftertaste.

Bottle @ Tap Zuid, medium sample. Dark brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of roast, dark bread, tar, slight ashes. Thick one dimensional roastiness in taste, tar, slight fruity blackcurrant, touch of roasty sourness. Bit too onedimensional I guess to be really enjoyable.
