33cl bottle shared with Sjogro & Maakun. Thin off white head. Very hazy burgundy pour. Dont get the chocolate. A decent barley wine.

Shared from bottle at deanso’s. Batch III with 10.2% alcohol. Hazy dark brown with light tan head. Sweet malts, big alcoholic, some chocolate, marzipan, barley, light metallic. Big sweet, big alcohol, light bitter, faint sour. Under medium body, thin feel. Metallic finish.

Bottle shared thanks to sjogro. Hazy brown with small beige head. Marzipan, raisins, alcohol, krentenbrood, quite some herbs, some milk chocolate. Not that much chocolate considering the name. Over medium sweet with bitter herbal and alcoholic finish. Over medium bodied with some alcohol burn. Too alcoholic for me.

Bottle @ home. Dark red brown color, medium sized beige head that lasts for a short while and leaves fair lacing. Aroma is malts, caramel, light chocolate, light booze. Tastes about the same: malts, sweetish, caramel, slight malt bitter, light chocolate and a bit boozy, which isn’t that odd at 11.2% ABV of course. Medium to full body, quite oily texture, suitable quite soft carbonation. Well, I’m pleasantly surprised. Quite a nice beer. I wouldn’t say it’s a barley wine in a blind tasting though. To me it tastes like a Belgian Strong Ale with pleasant light chocolaty influences. Nonetheless, as I said quite a nice beer. Well done by this very young brewery.
