(Draught at In De Wildeman, Amsterdam, 26 Feb 2020) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with foamy white head. Malty, fruity nose with notes of candied pineapple, tropical fruit and sugar. Fruity, malty taste with tropical fruit, pineapple, soft malt, coriander and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced. Nice one.

Brandy nose. Clear amber brown colour, small fizzy off-white head, dissipates within seconds, minimal lacing. Aroma roasted malts, alcohol, apricot, prune, caramel. Taste light heavy sweet and slightly bitter, roasty, malts, caramel, raisins. Retronasal brandylike alcohol, sweet aftertaste, warming alcohol, spicy notes, cloying sugar. Medium bosy, sticky texture, soft carbonation, not a tripel but strong ale and a bit disappointing.

Sampled at Tap Zuid, Amsterdam. Clear red color, average sized white to off-white head. Smell and taste malts, lightly herbal, somewhat sweet and bitter. Hmm more a herbal Belgian Strong Ale to me rather than a Tripel.

Tap at Tap Zuid during pubcrawl. Light hazy reddish amber, with white head. Big sweet caramel malts, overripe bananas, orange peel, candy sugar, coriander and cloves. Over medium sweet, light bitter. Medium body, soft carbonation. Bittersweet syruppy finish.

Tap at Tap Zuid. Hazy amber with off white head. Lots of sweet malts, grape juice, light cognac and alcohol, marzipan, fresh herbs. Almost like a barley wine. Medium sweet and bitter. Medium bodied.
