Our take on the classic German Märzen lager is copper-red in color with insistent foam lacing. The aroma of toasty caramel and rich malt is indicative of the O’so malty flavors to come. Initially sweet on the tongue with caramel bready vienna malted goodness, toasty dry biscuit and rich munich malt follow to a finish that is moderately dry on the palate with seemingly ever-present rich malt flavor lingering on the tongue.

12 ounce bottle from Woodman's Oak Creek, 11/25/18. Hazy dark bronze, thin head, decent retention. Aroma of toffee, earth, and hints of chocolate. Taste is toffee, caramel, berries. Thin-medium bodied, moderate carbonation. Decent.

Draft at the Players Bar in Madison. Orange brown. Deep sticky malt tones, a pinch off, but maybe leaning towards a Bock? Buttery, off. Amateur lagering. Amber richness, no hop balance. Could be the lines are off in high class establishment as well. Either way, unstellar beer.
