Project Lo was the first barrel aged sour that we ever made, and is the only one that we consistently release without fruit. Project Lo is also one of our Barrel Blenders that we use in order to blend up the right batch for different sour ales.

Keg at the brewery, 11/27/21. No hop variety noted. Clear amber, medium creamy tan head. Aroma of funk, apricot, honey, oak. Taste is vinegar, apricot, stone fruit, funk. Feels like a flanders-like sour. Nice.

Bottle thanks to Russell. Pours a cloudy orange with medium white head that diminishes to nothing. The aroma is funk, stone fruit, oak. Thin body, cheese, funk, apricot, oak, nice sourness, very nice.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some sour lemon with sweet grains, barrel and a bit of butterscotch. Flavor combines sour lemon with butterscotch and is supported by a light barrel note.
