9 % version brewed in Bremen of all places. Bottle. Clear dark amber with no head at all. Aroma and taste of malts and alcohol. Yes, that‘s it. Moderate bitterness. Medium carbonation. I generally have nothing against one trick ponies but that one trick better be good. To add insult to injury: After driving for about ten or eleven hours I just wanted a cold and refreshing Lager-type beer to go with my pizza and asked the waitress about their selection. They only had Heineken and Tennant‘s so I naturally and naively went for the latter without imagining it might be some kind of 9 % monster.
(All I wanted was a Lager and she wouldnt give it to me.)

Bottle from local convenience store in Kingswear. It's now only 7.5%, possibly to do with licencing taxation. Appearance - golden with a white head. Nose - sweet bread, caramel and honey. Taste - sweet caramel and bread again. Palate - medium bodied, fairly sweet with just a hint of dryness on the finish. Overall - not as bad as expected/remembered, but a bit simple. You'd expect a strong beer to be a bit more complex with ester notes. More of a Heller Bock than a Pils.

Can shared by Inoven. Cear golden color, full sized white head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts and sweetish grainy notes. Flavor is malts, sweetish grainy again, boozy without having a warming alcohol burn of any kind. Typical malt liquor flavor if you'd ask me.

Blik gedeeld met Tomhendriksen en Benzai. Goudgeel bier met grof schuim dat snel weg trekt. Aroma is moutig, smaak is eveneens moutig en iets houtig. Geen nasmaak.
