A clear orange brown beer with a beige lacing. Aroma of caramelized dark malt, berries, spices. Taste of dark caramelized malt, berries, mild bitterness.

1000ml bottle. Very nice, minimally milky, more ruby than brown, auburn colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, sulphureous to beige head. Cautious, minimally toasty and chocolately, caramel and dark malty aroma with a grainy, bready touch of pumpernickel, a touch of treacle as well. Taste is minimally grainy and bready, minimally toasty, caramel and dark malty with low residual sweetness, hints of pumpernickel, a touch of treacle, burnt caramel, very weak hints of cocoa, minimally metallic, hoppy counterpart, doughy yeasty overtones. Watery texture, minimally dry palate, medium, mildly prickly carbonation. Very nice colour, quite some subtleties, well controlled sweetness, but rather cautious overall - decent.
