This is a collaborative beer made with Birmingham based, Indonesian specialist coffee roastery Ngopi and is the second coffee inspired ‘Boomsday’ beer release of ours. Kopi Susu is a coffee and milk based drink sweetened with palm sugar. We sourced specialist sugar through a coconut importer and added it alongside lactose to a very complex malt bill. Conditioned on harshly ground coffee beans for 2 days before packaging.

330ml bottle from the brewery. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasted malt, big coffee, ashtray, light liqourice. The flavour is liqourice bitter, light sweet, with a roasty, smokey, super dry, sweet lactose palate and hints of caramel. Full bodied with soft carbonation.
