Uit een halve liter geschonken in het glas dat ik samen met deze fles van Huub heb gekregen. Donkerbruin van kleur, beige schuim. In de smaak chocolade en caramel, lekker, maar had iets minder zoet mogen zijn.

Nice strong caramel fruit plum taste. Bold flavours that fill the mouth. Nice beer, but not perfect. Rewe

From the bottle. A foamy, beige head exits completely. Aroma full of toffee, coffee, dark bread. Taste is sweet, full of caramel. Body is medium, carbonation is soft. Somewhat more reminiscent of a dark bock than a porter. Not a huge amount of depth but still not bad.

31.12.2017, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Big fizzy-creamy longlasting head. Aroma is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, roasted grain, hay, minerals, yeast, grass, paper, dried grain, old wash cloth, sawdust, toast, hints of licorice. Taste is slightly dry mineraly, weeds, roasted grain, grass, hay, minerals, dried grain, dark sugar, paper, toast, licorice, sour coffee. Medium bitterness, slightly harsh mineraly mouthfeel. Fair enough, boring.

Kalea Advent Calendar. Low key coffee and tar aroma. Dark and glossy. initially frothy beige head soon retreated. Light bitter. Liqourice. Tar. Coffee. Berries. Some liqourice sweetness into the finish. Thick. Oily. Average carb. Relatively abrupt finish. Goes really wel with the turkey and ham pie and roasties I'm currently scoffing. Lovely rich beer.

Bottle. Opaque deep brown to black colour. Small beige head. Aroma: rich malts delivering caramel, toast, coffee, chocolate. Medium body. Soft carbo. Relatively dry flavour. Chocolate. Coffee. Molasses. Minor roast. Light bitterness. Not the best Baltic porter ever still good enough
