This one poured a deep, dark amber colour with a quick living, white, soapy head. Scents include dough, light cheese, eggs, raisins and a little metallic scent. First sip was smooth with a sweet raisin flavour. Other flavours of spice and bread. Finish has a little hop flavour with a sweet aftertaste lingering.

(Bottle, Monk’s Café Sveavägen, Stockholm) Reddish amber colour with frothy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasted nose with notes of toast, spices and a touch of citrus. Malty, toasty taste with bread, toast, hints of dried fruit and prunes. Gentle spicy bitterness. Medium body with a touch of sweetness. Well balanced and quite nice.

Bügelverschlußflasche: Clear, copper to amber coloured, rather quickly collapsing fluffy off-white head; light to moderate sweetish dark-malty nose with a tinge of vegetables; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; moderate sweetish dark-malty finish with a certain bitterness in the aftertaste. Not so bad.....

swingtop bottle that was a little bit of a gusher. bbf late 2010, sampled feb 2010. clear brown amber very good looking clear color, fluffy messy offwhite head. the body looked fantastic. Aroma of nuts, dry malts, faint grains, faint sourness. flavor is slightly bitter,slightly caramelly, slightly flowery, acutally pretty tasty. no hint of sourness. ends bitter and nutty. You could drink a lot of this

500 mL bottle from Whole Foods Market, Cary, NC. Pours a clear brown color with a medium creamy brown head. Good head retention and lacing. Aroma of grain, raisin, and a slight earthiness. Taste is quite nice with notes of toasted grain, chocolate, raisin. Thin-medium bodied.

The bottle looks simple, but good, the beer in the glass is amber coloured, small head. Starts malty and dry, modest bitter, a little bit fruity-rusty. Finish more and more dry and metallically. Average!
