Sample at Haandfest 2019. Sorry to admit that this amazing beer where sampled at the very end of the festival and its qualities might not be totally fair judged, at least not as detailed as I want to rate. Anyway its dark brown with a beige head and has the basic aromas and flavors I recognized from the regular edition, still a bit boozy as well as I remember but in a rather nice way. I did not find any blueberries what so ever but the Bourbon is recognized and the rum may be identified as raisins and dry fruit. Nice, distinct dark malt, bitterness and barrel flavor. Fine body and very long lasting aftertaste. A nice, slightly boozy sipper I would love to try again.

33cl bottle at tasting. (Ardes). Poured dark brown in color with an off white head. Cinnamony dominating brew, woody elements and malts. Heavy and malty. Also light blueberry notes. Nice.

330ml bottle. Jet black colour, initially with no head; a late awakening, thin, creamy, beige layer fades away quickly. Sweet-ish, roasty, chocolately, dark malty and slightly fruity aroma, notes of dark chocolate, couverture, hints of blueberry, a touch of treacle, BA overtones with hints of rum. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately, dark and caramel malty, minimally roasty, slightly fruity, notes of dark chocolate, caramel, blueberry, vanilla, some rum, bourbon, a touch of alcohol, blueberry pancake, honey, weak, piney and resinous hoppy overtones. Viscous texture, smooth, soft, silky, slightly cloying palate, fine and soft carbonation. Excellent composition, superb balance, BA support is perfectly adjusted, really supportive, integrated, in no way overdone. Maybe a tad less fruity than the non-BA version, but overall even more rich and subtle. Very, very good.

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty woody rum chocolate blueberry aroma. Roasted malty roasted malty woody chocolate flavor with hints of blueberries. Has a roasted malty woody chocolate blueberry finish.

Imp stout provning 2 olika i Biskoppsbacken. Doftar balanserat och tydlig sprit lagring 👍. . God utan att sticka ut åt nåt håll Varken dåligt eller åt det Jättekomplexa hållet. Dessert Imp stout av bättre skolan.
