Bottle, bierfestival Albergen. Black. blueberries And vanilla in the aroma. Soft oak. Malty sweet flavor with vanilla, a hint of roast, blueberries. Barrel Aging is noticeable but not dominant. Full bodied. Dried fruit. Nice And complex.

Haandfest 2019. Dark brown color with a tan head. Flavor is wood, bourbon, caramel, alcohol, molasses, licorice, blueberries, coffe, chocolate, roasted malt, sugar. Powerful nice beer.

Bottle. It pours a dark brown, borderline black, body and a finger-thick dark beige head. The aroma has a faint note of blueberry, but it's more on the barrel-booze side, with roasted malts, some coffee and chocolate and a touch of molasses from the malts. A faint touch of grilled meat too. The booze is quite well integrated with the malts, both in aroma and flavor. It's full-bodied, lightly warming and very smooth on the palate, quite softly carbonated. The flavor too has a vague blueberry touch and a pleasant boozy touch, even some wood hints, but as in the aroma the malts are the major contributor. Roasted malts, dark sugar, some coffee and dark chocolate, a touch of molasses and even some prunes. Very long sweet, roasted and warming finish with a good mixture of booze and dark malts. A splendid beer indeed. 190602
