‘t Schrijvershuisje/Hengstdijk. Hazy golden, white head. Sour grains, citrus, horseblanket, grapes, minerals. Juicy and tasty, typical and close to the more known OG’s. Medium sour, salty touch. Medium body, average carb.

Bottle, 330 ml at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Shared with others. Cloudy orange, minimal white head. Funky, citrus, wood, brett, lacking more complexity, moderate sourness, tad sweet.

37,5cl bottle. After opening there's smoke but no gushing at all. Hazy deep golden color, with a nice white head. Aroma is lemony, earthy, straw. Taste is lemony, butter cookies, tannin, there's acidity but not on the vinegar side. At the end there's a nice bitterness too. Thin but vivid carbonation. Very well balanced geuze, definitely good.

Bottle, pale amber with a white head that lasts a while. Aroma of old lemons, raw apples, bracken, crackers. A bit of body left and some gentle orange-like sweetness, then sour and a bit zingy with lemon, apricot stones and bracken. The end is dry and a little spicy. I was ready for this to be a promising early effort, but no, it's really lovely. Exciting times.

0,375l bottle at home. BB 11/2040. dark yellow clear color, small white head. smells funky, cheesy, some wood, spices, grassy, hay, light tobacco. very nice funky notes. full body, soft carbonation. tastes citric, grassy, earthy, funky, peppery, some horse radish, wood, oak, light tobacco, light sweetness. finishes sour and lightly sweet with notes of grassy, earthy and peppery notes. very nice one, loved the smell, taste is good but not there yet, feels a bit young still, tad of sweetness left, lacks some more funk on the taste, and also complexity. this is probably gonna be great with a bit more age on it. overall still very nice Geuze. this gets quite a bit better with some breathing

Bottle. Dark golden, a bit hazy. Aroma: wild, sour, lemon, hay, soft and balanced. Sour taste, herbs, lemongrass, calm wildness, tasty.

Little cloudy bright orange beer, small creamy dense yellow head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: nice, little fruity, lots of brett, wood notes, funky, spicy notes, bit peppery. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: nice acidity, lemony, pretty fruity, sour peaches and apricots, nice funky touch, brett notes. Aftertaste: pretty acidic, fruity, lots of citric acidity, little bitter, spicy notes coming through, a bit of vinegar but not too much, good balance of acidities. In general this is a lovely geuze, if maybe a bit simple, but with lots of improving potential, both for the first bottled batch, as towards future batches that will be made by this brewery!
Nicely paired with lobster bisque.
