Cask at the Haymarket. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of lemon and lime. Taste is sweet, as expected for the style on cask, more lime and pithy bitterness though. Decent and drinkable.

On cask at the Haymarket. 7.2% Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - lemon and lime. A bit if hay. Taste - lime marmalade. A bit syrupy. Pithy at the back though. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry tangy finish. I say dry but there are elements of sweetness in there. Overall - it kinda falls in between a double ipa and a barley wine.

50cl bottle from Tesco’s, Camberley. A bright orange amber pour with a rapidly fading white head; citrus aroma with a touch of resin; syrupy body with an assertive grapefruit bitterness and well hidden alcohol - until you stand up. Much better than I was expecting.

Bottle at Greg and Catherine’s, 1st November 15. Pours clear, not much head. The aroma is aromatic perfume, Centinnial come through well. Taste is floral hops, slight citrus and pine. No sign of the 7.2 ABV. Really impressed with this one.

Bottle. Tesco. Drinking this at nearly 1 in the morning, in my kitchen, after a wanky day at work. Pours clear gold. No head. Not even a bubble. Nose is well rounded, fruity hop and dry, biscuity malts. Hint of floral perfume. Taste is soft sweet, with a rising, oily bitterness. Palate is lightly oily. Lots of fine fizz. Finishes long, moderate, fruity, oily herb bitter. A beer suited to those occasions when you’re just having the one.

500ml bottle from Gloucester Services Farm Shop. After trying to hunt this down during my trip to Cornwall I find it at a midlands Service Station on the way back! Pours gold with healthy white head. Aroma is lovely and hoppy. Taste is rich yet smooth, not overly hoppy with a cohesive caramel and tropical fruit blend. Hugely enjoyable and worth the wait.
