Strong blond winterbeer that matured for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brewing experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name all that time. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brewing slave, drank too many Tsjeeses’s. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse.
We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

New Beer Distributors, NY 11.2oz ($5.25): Pours a murky light brown with a small white head that leaves some lacing. Aroma is light hints of booze, tons of dark fruit, yeast, and fancy European candy. Taste is sweet, with a some minor bitterness towards the back. Body is pretty thick, almost syrupy. Alcohol is covered, but noticeable in some form or other. Kind of has a soda like taste. Certain swigs give you a very boozy note. Good stuff yeah, but not a saison in any world.

Bottle. Clear deep amber/copper liquid with medium, firm off-white head. Aroma of red berries, sweet toffee malt, spices, raw sugar, rose hips and light belgo yeast esters. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of raw sugar, red berries and spices. Medium bodied with low to medium carbonation and sugary, viscous mouthfeel. Ehm, why is this listed as a Saison? Not stylistically correct at all if that is the case. Otherwise, good Belgian strong ale or whatever.

Refrigerated 11.2 oz. brown bottle poured into a tulip. Pours deep amber with dark orange hues with medium off-white head which dies fairly quickly. A little lacing, medium/thick body, low carbonation, and fruit aroma. Taste is strong malt, fruity (mostly ripe orange with some pear), some alcohol, and spices. Interesting christmas ale (pale strong belgian ale), not sure how it ended up listed as a saison. A little better as it warms.

330ml bottle and beer number 600 of 2012! Started the year with a saison, so chose to end with one too. Bottled. This is a very hazy dark golden/orange beer with a medium sized white head that disappears quickly. Odd nose with spicy, fruity and port notes in a strange way, very difficult to describe. The flavour is overall sweet, with a little bit of acidity, unusually for this style, and a boozy warmth as the ABV kicks in. Medium to full body, lively carbonation, long finish with light bitterness and some sourness. Very interesting, and glad I chose this to end the year.

Draft at the Essen Christmas Beer Festival. Poured a rich orange colour with a thin round tan head. The aroma is fruity leading to a warm alcoholic taste with a little bitterness on the palate and some pleasing alcohol burn that enhances the flavour.

En stark och söt saison som jag tycker liknar en vanlig söt stark belgisk ale som står som spön i backen så här års. Mycket maltsötma, marsipan torkad frukt, russin ooh plommon. Alkoholen slår igenom lite och lagring anbefalles. Men riktigt god redan nu.

Bottle from Belgium in a Box; Clear straw colour pour, grassy aroma, fruity taste, with banana some spice. Quite thin taste for 10% mixed well with Ignis et Flamma as demonstrated by Steve. Love the high Santa. Santa lost all his reindeers and I know why because he got high!
