Strong blond winterbeer that matured for 8 months on different stonefruits. Tsjeeses was born out of a 5 year brewing experience regarding x-mas beer without being capable of finding a suitable name all that time. With the name came a face, a caricature actually, that was drawn on the day Urbain, our brewing slave, drank too many Tsjeeses’s. Every time he drinks one, he says "Tsjeeses, what a beer". Therefore the name is more an expression of stupefaction than a curse.
We have had already many discussions around the pronounciation of "Tsjeeses". Very close would be that you say "cheeses" or cheese in plural.

Malty, a bit of candi sugar, dark fruit..I get raisins and plums, maybe some figs. A little nutty character as well. This is delicious.

Bottle (from bieresgourmet.be). 2010 vintage. Pours hazy golden-brown with beige head. The head doesn’t stay. Aroma is very sweet, malty, sugary, dark fruits, plums, spices. Flavor is very sweet and bitter, malty, dark fruits, spices, woody notes. Finish is candy sweet and dry bitter with some spices and slight alcohol. Overall: great brew.

2013 bottle. Gusher... cloudy red amber with a lot of floating sediments. Dried fruity aroma, vinous notes and red sour strawberries. Flavour has sweet dark sugar, figs and alcohol. All in all very well balanced. Finish has fresh cut wood and more sweet fruityness. Very good.

Bruin bier met schuim. Smaak is licht zoetzuur en bitter hoppig, fruitig, aarbei, kersen, banaan. Erg goed.

33 cl. bottle, 2010 vintage, poured in to a Trappist glass. Hazy, amber colour with golden hues. Thin, white head. Some sediments in the glass, probably due to age (B.B. 2015) A good "glow" in this beer. Sweet aroma with dark, dried fruits, spices, candid sugar, rich caramel malts, some liquorice, yeasts and oranges. Taste is sweet. Full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Finishes slightly dry with rich malts and spices. Lovely winter warmer from Struise, not as mind blowing complex as some of their other beers. However, still a nice treat.

33cl bottle from Erzbierschof. This is what beer should be like. Tasty, fresh, long, complex, and well-balanced too. (Rated in Dec 2014 as one of my first ratings, 9/4/8/4/16) Rerate in Dec 2016, vintage 2010. Pours clear amber. Aroma is a little boozy, almonds, nuts, sweet, almost medicine. Body is strong and sweet, also boozy and full of flavours. Palate lingers on caramel, sweetness. Very, very nice! The grades stay!
